Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a professional Parts Clerk to assist in organizing and coordinating products in our Parts Department. You will transfer parts to other locations, issue parts to internal customers, stock incoming parts, and verify inventory.

Responsibilities include answering calls, using a two-way radio, and adhering to safety regulations. Lifting 50 lbs, forklift operation, and willingness to work Saturdays are required. Based in Saint Marys Township, OH.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to details.
• Willing to work Saturdays as required.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly daily.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic math skills.
• Clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Transfer parts to other locations or pick up parts from outside vendors as needed.
• Issue parts to internal customers and maintain work orders.
• Stock incoming parts and verify inventory.
• Answer the telephone and utilize a two-way radio.
• Practice all safety regulations.
• Clean work areas daily.
• Operate a forklift as required.
• All other tasks as assigned.
