Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. in Indiana is seeking a warehouse associate to support unloading trucks, tracking deliveries, pulling and issuing parts, receiving goods and maintaining inventory records.

You will perform cycle counting, stocking, and assist coworkers and contractors as customers while upholding safety. The role requires lifting heavy parts and working in a fast-paced environment; forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with mobile equipment in a warehouse setting.
• A strong focus on safety in all tasks.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multitasking skills and self-starter attitude.
• Must be physically able to lift heavy parts.
• Knowledge of inventory systems, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or welding replacement parts is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Staff the warehouse counter.
• Accept deliveries; check in products and place into stocking locations.
• Pick parts and issue to appropriate departments.
• Perform cycle counts.
• Assist employees and contractors as customers.
• Investigate discrepancies.
