Job description

As a Parts Cashier, you will be responsible for managing payments for service and parts transactions, playing a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle financial transactions accurately and provide exceptional service to enhance the overall customer experience.

Parts Cashier Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive Salary: $18.00 per hour
• Paid Time Off (PTO): Industry-leading PTO. New full-time employees accrue 4 hours per pay period, totaling approximately 96 hours in the first year, with increases over time.
• Benefits: Comprehensive health benefits starting the first month after 60 days, including medical, dental, vision, Health Savings and Flexible Spending accounts, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and a 401(k) plan.
• Paid Holidays: At least 5 paid holidays per year, subject to completion of the introductory period and other eligibility requirements.

Parts Cashier Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers at the cashier area professionally and pleasantly.
2. Maintain a professional appearance.
3. Close all open invoices.
4. Compute customer bills accurately.
5. Receive payments via cash, checks, and credit cards; record the amounts received.
6. Make change and issue receipts to customers.

Parts Cashier Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills, including listening and speaking.
• Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, understanding).
• Ability to interpret written, oral, or scheduled instructions.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to work independently, self-motivate, and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to operate computer hardware and software.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Computer literacy, including MS Word, advanced Excel, and Outlook.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Research skills and basic math proficiency.
• Knowledge of dealership operations and/or office/clerical experience is a plus.
