Job summary

GLS North America is seeking a Parts and Materials Coordinator to manage inbound and outbound deliveries, organize inventory, and support new program launches across multiple locations. You will ensure parts are properly labeled, stored, and shipped, while coordinating with GLS locations and maintaining warehouse standards.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, strong communication, and a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all receiving deliveries from carriers (FedEx, UPS, Central Transportation).
  • Inventory count and logging into Excel.
  • Label and store parts in correct locations.
  • Identify new incoming programs and organize parts by part numbers.
  • Prepare for new program launches and create shipping labels and invoices.
  • Serve as point of contact for parts requests between GLS locations.
  • Travel to off-site locations as needed for deliveries.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and adhere to DRIVEN values.

As a Parts and Materials Coordinator, you will be handling all incoming and outgoing deliveries, organizing and inventorying received parts, and managing new program launches. Deliveries to off-site GLS locations, warehouse cleanliness, and being part of a team that contributes to the movement of parts across multiple locations to drive growth and increase throughput for our client.

SalaryOverview:
The pay rate for this role starts at $17 per hour based on experience.

Hours:

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm.

Parts and Materials Coordinator Responsibilities Include:

  • Handle all receiving deliveries: FedEx, UPS, and Central Transportation.
  • Inventory count of received parts, logging inventory into Excel.
  • Label and put parts away into their appropriate location.
  • Identifying new incoming programs, organizing parts based on part numbers, labeling, and preparing for the new program to launch.
  • Pulling exporting parts for programs to ship, getting parts properly packaged, creating an invoice, and shipping labels.
  • Point of contact for parts requests from other GLS locations.
  • Travel to off-site locations for delivery when required: GLS Paint Shop, GLS Romulus, GM Tech Center.
  • Uphold the warehouse cleanliness.
  • Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.

Parts and Materials Coordinator Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Must have exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must be a reliable team player.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook applications preferred.
  • Hi-Lo experience is preferred, but a willingness to learn Hi-Lo is required.
