Job summary

Lithia Hyundai of Odessa is seeking a Parts Counter Associate to join our dealership team. Base pay with commission opportunities and a focus on accuracy, efficiency and customer service drive success.

You will handle parts inquiries, verify stock, process orders and invoices in ADP, coordinate with service staff, maintain organized inventory and ensure accurate billing and timely delivery. A clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 18+ years old.
• Attention to detail and a sense of urgency are essential.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Basic math for inventory, payments and invoicing is needed.
• Knowledge of automotive parts helps a lot.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and service teams by phone, in person, or email.
• Answer questions, check stock, and take parts orders per ICC process.
• Maintain clean, professional counter and stockroom areas.
• Coordinate parts with the service team for vehicle repair.
• Order parts from suppliers based on requests.
• Create accurate invoices in ADP.
• Receive, unpack and store parts, ensuring accessibility.
• Verify quantities and costs against invoices and purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and controls.
• Process payments or obtain credit authorization.
• Handle core returns and warranties as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Answer telephone and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner in accordance with Incoming Telephone Call (ITC) standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers and vendors via phone, in-person or email.
• Assist customers by answering questions, checking stock availability, and taking parts orders in a quick, friendly and professional manner in accordance with Initial Customer Contact (ICC) process.
• Maintain clean and professional appearance of counter, work area and stockroom.
• Interact with Service Team to coordinate parts for vehicle repair and service.
• Order parts from suppliers based on service department and customer requests.
• Create accurate invoices in ADP.
• Receive, unpack and store parts in appropriate storage areas so they are readily available when needed.
• Check quantity and condition of goods received against invoices and purchase orders. Check number and unit cost as well as total billing for charges against proper records.
• Specifies parts accurately.
• Takes inventory, maintains records of goods received and keeps perpetual inventory controls.
• Receive payment or obtain credit authorization
• Process core returns, parts warranties and parts returns as necessary.
