Mercedes-Benz of Modesto is seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Advisor to join our busy Parts Department. You will assist service technicians and customers with parts, process orders, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in automotive parts, dealership, inventory, retail, or customer service preferred.
• Mercedes-Benz or luxury dealership experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds is preferred.
• Familiar with Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Google Docs.

Responsibilities

• Assist service technicians and customers with automotive parts, accessories, and supplies
• Research and identify the correct parts based on vehicle year, make, model, VIN, and repair needs
• Use electronic parts catalogs and manufacturer resources to verify part numbers and availability
• Process incoming and outgoing parts orders
• Manage orders received through the dealership’s online parts store
• Communicate with customers regarding order status, availability, delays, and shipping
• Locate and source parts when items are not available in dealership inventory
• Ensure parts are billed accurately to repair orders, customers, and internal departments
• Collect and process payments for parts purchases
• Process parts returns and maintain accurate supporting documentation
• Maintain organized records, inventory areas, and workspaces
• Work closely with the Parts, Service, Accounting, and Management teams
• Follow dealership policies, manufacturer procedures, and safety requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Ability to learn vehicle systems, parts catalogs, and manufacturer procedures
