Job summary

TopSide Marinas is seeking a Parts & Accessories Sales Associate to assist technicians and customers with purchasing parts, issue parts to technicians, and promote seasonal specials. The role emphasizes accurate inventory control, pricing updates, and efficient order processing.

A focus on customer relations and teamwork within a marina environment is essential. Responsibilities include maintaining price books, processing orders and warranties, and supporting retail sales while upholding safety

Responsibilities

• Maintain an up-to-date parts purchase control system and back-order file; follow up daily.

• Process filing, invoicing, and shipping of parts orders promptly.
• Maintain price books and catalogs; insert changes as received.
• Process receipt of parts and verify with order and stock.
• Initiate warranty claims.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
• Assume other retail responsibilities as needed.
• Identify obsolescence and seek cost-recovery options.

Job description

Reports to: Marina General Manager

The Parts & Accessories Sales Associate’s responsibility is to perform the duties below on a regular basis and meet customer satisfaction standards as well as company sales and safety requirements.

The position requires the team member to work 5 days per week and 8 hours per day according to the schedule agreed upon with your manager. Marina operating hours range from 5:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and seasonal schedule changes may take place at management discretion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Assist all technicians and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies
2. Issue parts and accessories to technicians or boat sales department
3. Plan and initiate seasonal parts specials and leader items for promotion of retail parts sales
4. Establish and promote customer relations to attract over-the-counter sales
5. Maintain an accurate up-to-date parts purchase control system and back-order file. Follow up on back orders daily
6. Continually update prices in computer system
7. Process the filing, invoicing, and shipping of parts orders in a timely manner
8. Maintain price books and catalogs by inserting changes immediately as received
9. Process the receipt of parts and accessories and verify with the order and stock.
10. Initiate warranty claims
11. Maintain an environment of organization and cleanliness
12. Other retail responsibilities not exclusive to parts
13. Identify obsolescence and seek ways to recover costs and reduce
14. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude
• High school diploma or GED required
• Administrative skills and ability, including demonstrated computer skills
• Capable to plan and organize efficiently
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Must be able to complete assigned work in an efficient and timely manner
