Blue State is hiring a Business Development Manager to join our Partnerships team. You will help track and maintain the pipeline, project‑manage proposals from RFP to signed contract, and drive collaborative problem‑solving with strategists, creatives, and technologists under tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate is an excellent project manager and writer who understands how nonprofits raise money and how marketing, digital strategy, and fundraising work together.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years managing complex, deadline‑driven projects with many contributors
• Experience coordinating proposals, responses, and pitches in a nonprofit or agency setting
• Strong writing and editing skills for memos, proposals, decks, and collateral
• Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising programs, donor campaigns, or membership initiatives

Responsabilités

• Coordinate RFP responses, proposals, pitches, and scopes of work from start to finish; build timelines, track owners and deliverables, and keep teams on schedule
• Review RFPs and translate them into clear plans identifying involved parties and a winning approach
• Draft and edit memos, proposals, pitch decks, and collateral for executives and senior leaders
• Manage logistics and process across the sales lifecycle, from initial conversations to contracting
• Join qualifying calls with senior leaders to understand goals, constraints, and success criteria
• Help identify partners and support research across target verticals to grow pipeline
