Job summary

Clay is seeking a Partner Technical Engineer to drive data marketplace readiness and partner integrations with providers like Salesforce and HubSpot. You will act as the technical gatekeeper and design joint solutions with the partnerships team.

You will own testing methodologies, scoring models, and onboarding readiness for a 200+ provider portfolio, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Partnerships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical role (software eng., solutions eng., partnerships, or similar).
• Strong familiarity with REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and modern integration patterns.
• Experience building data quality frameworks, testing pipelines, or evaluation methodologies.
• Proven ability to navigate third‑party APIs and dense partner documentation.
• Comfort with SQL, dashboards, and extracting insights from messy data.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for the partnerships team, joining prospective partner meetings from day 0 to design the joint solution.
• Prototype integration concepts fast enough to answer feasibility in live partner conversations.
• Design the 'build' partner motion on Clay's public API and MCP.
• Translate partner feedback into roadmap priorities for Product and Engineering.
