Job summary

Clay is seeking a Partner Technical Engineer to join the Data & Integration Partnerships team in New York. You will own the technical quality bar for providers and the readiness of new partners before go-live, collaborating with data and product teams.

You will work with Salesforce, HubSpot, and other data providers, defining testing methodologies, scoring models, and end‑to‑end readiness to ensure seamless integrations for clay users.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical partnerships role.
• Experience with REST APIs, OAuth, and data integration.
• Ability to analyze data and write SQL.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Self-starter with ambiguity tolerance.
• Nice-to-have: prior high-growth B2B SaaS exposure.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for partnerships, attending meetings from day 0.
• Prototype integrations quickly during live partner discussions.
• Design the 'build' partner motion for Clay's public API and MCP.
• Translate partner feedback into roadmap priorities for Product and Engineering.
• Own evaluation of providers and maintain testing methodologies across 200+ providers.
• Monitor integration health and write technical documentation for partner teams.
