Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an AI Deployment Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-utility plugins for ChatGPT and Codex. You will collaborate with partner teams and internal stakeholders to translate ambiguous product needs into production-ready integrations, write code, and drive successful launches.

You will own the partner journey, review architectures, and contribute to the plugin platform with a focus on reliability, privacy, and user value.

Qualifications

• Ability to design robust APIs and specify contracts for partner integrations.
• Experience building or operating production APIs and backend services.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and data privacy.
• Proven ability to prototype, review implementations, and guide partners to production-ready solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the partner journey from pitch to launch and ongoing maintenance.
• Identify high-value plugin use cases and translate them into concrete user flows.
• Write production code, build prototypes, and create guidance for partners.
