Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks an AI Deployment Engineer to design, build, evaluate, submit, launch, and maintain high-utility plugins for ChatGPT and Codex. This hands-on, partner-facing role blends coding with product judgement and cross-functional coordination.

The role is based in San Francisco with a 3-days-in-office hybrid model and relocation assistance for new employees. You will collaborate across product, engineering, partnerships, legal, policy, and GTM to ensure successful

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building/operating production APIs or developer platforms.
• Ability to translate ambiguous product needs into production-ready integrations.
• Strong written and verbal communication with external engineers and executives.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical partner journey for priority B2B plugins—from pitch through architecture, build, evaluation, submission, launch, and maintenance.
• Identify strong plugin use cases and help partners focus on workflows with meaningful user value.
• Write production and sample code, build prototypes and reference implementations, and create technical guidance and launch materials.
• Debug API contracts, OAuth/login, tool invocation, latency, retries, rate limits, observability, and data handling across systems.
• Review partner architectures for API design, scopes, permissions, data safety, and long-term maintainability.
• Contribute fixes and improvements to ChatGPT, Codex, and the plugins platform (APIs, SDKs, docs, examples).
• Collaborate with product, engineering, design, partnerships, legal, policy, and GTM teams to ensure smooth launches.
