Job summary

Owen Health Care Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Individual Support Worker to join a compassionate team in Bergen County, NJ.

You will work with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting behavioral therapy programs in home and community settings while building strong family ties. You'll monitor progress, implement service plans, and foster safety, dignity, and growth through positive activities and careful documentation, under supervision of licensed

Qualifications

College degree with one year of experience or a HS diploma/GED is required.
Minimum of three years of supervised experience in implementing positive behavior support plans.
Experience teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Ability to work independently while following established protocols.

Responsibilities

Assist behavioral therapists to create behavioral therapy programs.
Implement individualized service plans in home and community settings.
Monitor and document observations of youth behavior.
Develop engaging recreational activities to support emotional and social growth.
Maintain a clean and secure environment for youth.
