Job summary

The Boys And Girls Clubs Of Thurston County is seeking a Youth Development Professional to deliver engaging, safe programs for Club members and to foster a positive learning environment. You will supervise activities in the Games Room, Art, Gym, Education Room, Tech Lab, and Outdoors, delivering developmentally appropriate activities for K-5 students and occasional teen support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or current enrollment).
• Experience working with youth, parents/guardians and/or community partners.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Excellent communication, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to de-escalate problems and solve day-to-day challenges.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise activities in multiple program areas.
• Deliver age-appropriate programs for children in grades K-5; Teen Center coverage as needed.
• Supervise areas to maintain a safe, positive environment.
• Foster high-energy teamwork and collaboration with staff.
• Promote daily program participation and strong parent relations.
• Model positive behaviors for children and staff.
• Attend branch staff meetings and trainings.
• Supervise front desk as needed.
• Take on additional tasks as directed.
