Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County is seeking a part-time Youth Development Professional to deliver a variety of youth programs for members in grades K-5, with occasional Teen Center coverage. The role emphasizes safety, positive relationships, and high-energy collaboration with staff.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a proven ability to work with youth and families, teamwork, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Experience working with youth, parents, or community partners.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome Club members daily.
• Plan and supervise activities across Games Room, Art, Gym, Education Room, Tech Lab and Outdoors.
• Deliver age-appropriate programs for K-5; Teen Center coverage as needed.
• Maintain a safe, positive environment and promote program participation.
• Attend staff meetings and mandatory trainings; assist with front desk as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
