Job summary

University Settlement Society Of New York seeks a Group Leader to support youth programs at 121 East 3rd Street, New York, NY 10009. You will help with activities, supervise groups, and coordinate with site staff to create a safe, engaging environment for children up to 13 years old.

Work schedule is Partial Year Part Time, Monday–Friday, 2:15pm–6:00pm, totaling 17.5 hours per week. Compliance with safety policies and inclusive practices is required.

Qualifications

• Requires effective communication and collaboration with youth, families and staff.
• Bilingual preferred: English with Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, youth-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support group leaders and program aides, assisting with activities and managing behavior.
• Plan and implement theme-based projects and activities for youth.
• Maintain positive relationships with host school, parents, staff and children.
• Adhere to University Settlement policies and health guidelines, maintain confidentiality.
• Supervise arrival, snack and dismissal of the unit; manage supplies inventory.
