Qualifications

• Associate degree in child development or related field, or high school diploma with two years direct experience.
• Experience working with parent groups or volunteers.
• Bilingual English and Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal/communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Support Site Supervisor to maintain program integrity.

Responsibilities

• Support group leaders and program aides by providing classroom assistance as needed and liaising with program management.
• Plan and implement theme-based projects and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Maintain positive relationships with host school, parents, staff and children.
• Adhere to policies and health guidelines; maintain confidentiality of program information.
• Supervise arrival, snack, and dismissal; manage inventory and ordering of supplies.
• Design and implement activities and lesson plans; coordinate with on-site specialists.
