Job summary

University Settlement Society of New York seeks a Part-Time Group Leader Support Assistant for the after-school program in New York City. You will assist group leaders, manage student behavior, and help facilitate activities with site staff.

You will plan developmentally appropriate activities, supervise arrival and dismissal, maintain supplies, and document attendance while upholding confidentiality and program policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in child development, Elementary Ed. or related field or HS diploma with two years direct experience.
• Experience working with parent groups or volunteer groups is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support group leaders and program aides with classroom assistance and behavior issues.
• Assist with classroom facilitation of activities and theme-based projects.
• Supervise arrival, snack and dismissal; assist with inventory and supply orders.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies; liaison between group leaders and management.
• Track attendance and participate in staff meetings and trainings.

Bilingual (English & Spanish/Cantonese

Excellent organizational and verbal/w

Ability to work under pressure

Education
