Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers, a long-standing provider of TK-12 expanded learning, seeks an Assistant Site Coordinator for Moreno Valley locations. This on-site role supports the Site Coordinator with daily operations, meals, field trips, and events while engaging with parents, staff, and community partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• FBI & DOJ Livescan clearance.
• TB Test clearance.
• First Aid & CPR certification (provided by WR).
• 6 months of experience supervising or leading a team and/or a group of children in a school recreational setting OR 6 units in child development.
• Ability to use smart phone for work related business (WR provides Wi-Fi/cell stipend).
• Must successfully pass an assessment test evaluating skills in math, reading comprehension, and spelling.
• For ABC Unified School District (Cerritos) Candidates ONLY - 48+ College Units or ABC Unified Paraeducator Test Completion.

Responsibilities

• Ensure students are always in a safe environment (physically and emotionally).
• Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment for all participants, staff, and families.
• Coordinate snacks and meals with food services vendor and provide related training to WR team.
• Implement site protocols, safety regulations, and WR policies.
• Oversee and track compliance requirements and submit documentation timely (attendance, surveys, reports).
• Maintain up-to-date safety training and required certifications.
• Build and sustain relationships with participants, families, site personnel and colleagues.
• Assist in planning culminating activities and end-of-week events.
• May attend off-site field trips if the Site Coordinator is unavailable.
• Participate in staff development trainings (≈30 hours across weekends/intersessional days).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
