Laurel Heights Hospital in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a part-time Mental Health Aide (MHA) to support a clinical team serving children and adolescents with autism and other behavioral needs. You will assist with daily living activities, safety, crisis intervention, and therapeutic milieu, while documenting health data and collaborating with BCBA/RBT staff.

The role requires weekend work every other weekend, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a compassionate, team-focused approach.

• Aid in personal hygiene and appearance tasks.
• Monitor medical issues and report changes to supervisors.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work in a team.
• Maintain patient health data and records.
• Crisis intervention capabilities.
• Assist learning activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Collaborate with BCBA/RBT staff in education and therapy.
• Assist teacher in classroom as instructional aide.
• Must pass a drug test within 24 hours.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of the clinical team.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu and crisis intervention when needed.
• Perform Q15 observation rounds within ethical guidelines.
• Support learning activities of daily living in home and community.
• Work with education, recreation therapy, BCBA, and RBT staff.
