Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains is seeking a part-time chaplain to serve employees and their families in a remote field setting, primarily servicing clients in New Jersey. The role centers on providing spiritual care, confidential counseling, and life-issue support across various sites, including hospitals and workplaces.

The chaplain will visit worksites regularly, offer compassionate, faith-based guidance, and coordinate appropriate referrals while respecting confidentiality and interfaith

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interfaith setting with diverse lifestyles and beliefs.
• Strong listening and communication skills with clients and families.
• Spiritual maturity and Christian lifestyle aligned with ministry values.
• Diplomacy and confidentiality in sensitive situations.
• Ability to document accurately and use basic tech tools.
• Must have active state driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Visit company worksites regularly to build trust and faith-based relationships.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions for employees and families.
• Assist in planning or attending funerals and grief support.
• Coordinate referrals for specialized employee assistance.
• Support new employee orientation with Employee Care Service.
• Respond to duties requested by executive leadership within agreements.
