Job summary

Parkview Family YMCA in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a part-time Wellness Center Assistant to join our team and contribute to a welcoming member experience. You’ll greet members, support safety, and help orient them with fitness equipment to promote safe, positive progress toward wellness goals.

The role offers an hourly wage of $11.85 to $12.35. Schedule typically includes afternoon shifts Monday through Friday, with perks such as a free individual membership or 50% off a family membership and 50%

Qualifications

• Must be 15 years or older and have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Experience and/or certification from a national organization is preferred.
• Previous fitness experience with basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology is preferred.
• Strong human relations skills and ability to communicate with participants and program staff.

Responsibilities

• Support: Provide a level of service by connecting with members and their wellness goals, ensuring the safety of members using the facilities, and the ability to respond to emergency situations.
• Serve: Orient members with the fitness equipment to ensure a safe and positive environment for the participants to succeed in their wellness goals.
