Job summary

The Weigand Family YMCA in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a part-time Personal Trainer to conduct sessions and build strong member relationships. You will guide clients through safe wellness journeys and tailor workout plans to individual goals.

Commitment to the YMCA mission and community impact is essential. Required: 18+ years, Bachelor’s in Exercise Science or related field, strong communication and organizational skills, and valid certifications (NSCA/ACE/ACSM/AFAA/NASM/NETA/ISSA or YMCA

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age or older.
• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, PE, or other health-related field required.
• Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
• Excellent human relations skills and enthusiasm.
• Basic math skills and demonstrated recordkeeping proficiency.
• Must maintain certifications and training requirements for the position.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

• Collaborate with members to design effective workout routines.
