Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada invites applications for part-time Jumpstart instructors to teach pre-approved Jumpstart classes at area high schools, coordinating with the CSN Dual Credit Office. Responsibilities include lecture and lab instruction and timely progress reporting.

Minimum qualifications include pre-approval by the Department of Applied Technology, 5 years of related experience, and a CCSD License or Secondary Education Teaching License.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be pre-approved by the Department of Applied Technology before applying in Workday.
• 5 years of work-related experience.
• CCSD Business and Industry License or Secondary Education Teaching License.

Responsibilities

• Lecture and lab instruction
• Instruct students in accordance with the curriculum standards and objectives
• Independently grade and prepare progress reports in accordance with school policy.
• Evaluate the performance of students regarding achievements in curriculum and activities and make necessary provisions to meet learning needs.
• Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and ensure adherence with safety precautions.
