Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada is seeking a part-time Jumpstart instructor for Automotive at the North Las Vegas campus. You will teach CSN Jumpstart classes at high schools, coordinating with the CSN Dual Credit Office, delivering lectures and labs, and assessing student progress according to the curriculum.

Preferred candidates bring automotive diagnostics/repair experience and prior teaching exposure, with familiarity in Canvas or other LMS; salary is set per class per semester.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be pre-approved by the Department of Applied Technology before applying in Workday.
• CCSD Business and Industry License or Secondary Education Teaching License.
• ASE Certification: A6 Electrical/Electronic Systems for AUTO 115.
• ASE Certifications: A6 Electrical/Electronic Systems, A1 Engine Repair for AUTO 136.

Responsibilities

• Lecture and lab instruction.
• Instruct students per curriculum standards and objectives.
• Independently grade and prepare progress reports per school policy.
• Evaluate student performance and adapt learning plans.
• Demonstrate lab procedures with safety adherence.
