iHeartMedia is seeking a weekend traffic reporter and producer for updating our website with current traffic information for our markets and reporting traffic on the radio. This part-time role requires delivering timely reports and creating traffic content for on-air and digital platforms.

You will gather information, verify facts, and maintain accuracy across website content, blogs, and social media. Previous broadcast experience is preferred, with a flexible schedule including mornings,

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Strong knowledge of local geography, roadways, and traffic patterns.
• Clear, pleasant on-air voice with good pronunciation.
• Experience in fast-paced newsroom environments preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide timely, accurate traffic updates for the website and on-air.
• Deliver up-to-the-minute reports on accidents, delays, and major disruptions.
• Read traffic updates and promotional spots on air.
• Gather information from multiple sources and monitor feeds to determine relevance.
• Write and produce traffic/weather copy for on-air use; edit audio.
• Verify facts and keep content updated on station websites.

What We Need:

We're seeking a weekend traffic reporter and producer to update our website with current traffic information for our markets and report traffic information on the radio

What You'll Do:

• Provide timely, accurate, and useful information to help commuters plan their drives.
• Deliver up to the minute reports on accidents, delays, and major traffic disruptions.
• Read traffic updates, commercials, and public service announcements on air.
• Gather information from multiple intake sources and monitor local, state, and national traffic feeds to determine what's most relevant.
• Research, write, and produce traffic and weather copy for on air use; edit audio using digital editing software.
• Manage incoming information, verify facts, and ensure all details are accurate and current; maintain updated content on station websites.
• Create written, visual, audio, and video content for websites, blogs, and social media platforms.
• Work a flexible schedule as needed, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays.

What You'll Need:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Strong knowledge of local geography, major roadways, mass transit systems, and traffic patterns.
• Clear, pleasant, and well controlled on air voice with excellent pronunciation.
• Skilled at working in a fast paced, deadline driven, newsroom style environment.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities with a strong command of grammar.
• Exceptional attention to detail with consistent follow through until issues are resolved.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a high volume setting.
• Familiarity with police scanners is a plus.
• Previous broadcast experience preferred.
