Job summary

Autumnwind is seeking a part-time weekend cook to staff the kitchen in our facility in Caldwell, Idaho. You will prepare a variety of meals, follow menus, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment in collaboration with dietary staff.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and hospital or long-term care cooking experience. ServSafe certification is preferred and on-the-job training will be provided to ensure proper sanitation and portion control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility for at least one year.
• ServSafe certification is required or must be obtained.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, clean, sanitary condition.
• Prepare meals in large quantities and handle various foods.
• Follow menus and portion control guides; prepare special diets accurately.
• Record temperatures and sanitation practices; assist with serving.
• Supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
