Job summary

Nampa Council On Aging Inc is seeking a Part Time Cook for our community kitchen. You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals for approximately 85-90 people daily, Monday through Friday, in a non-profit setting.

Responsibilities include preparing daily menu items, following recipes, maintaining sanitation, operating kitchen equipment safely, and documenting daily usage. Idaho Food Handlers or Professional Food Managers certificates are valued.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques

• Be able to learn all stations

• Be able to attain the Idaho Food Handlers Certificate and/or Professional Food Managers Certificate

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily menu items
• Follow standard recipes and be able to adjust
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
• Be able to read and write in English and document daily usage
• Performs additonal dutiesas assigned
