Job summary

Avamere is seeking a Part-Time Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents across care levels. You will follow dietary restrictions, ensure sanitation, and create a home-like dining experience.

PPE and safety standards are upheld, with attention to memory care dining needs and a warm, supportive kitchen atmosphere. The role requires 2–3 years of cook experience (healthcare preferred), ServSafe Manager certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days, and a current Food Handlers card.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of cook experience, healthcare setting preferred.
• Current ServSafe Manager certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions and to follow and calculate recipes.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Adapt recipes for dietary needs (low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, vegetarian, texture-modified).
• Maintain sanitation per ServSafe guidelines.
• Monitor and log food temperatures and ensure proper storage.
