Job summary

Brunswick Corporation’s Freedom Boat Club is seeking friendly, upbeat individuals to greet members and work on the docks. This part-time role is outdoors by the water and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

As a customer-focused team member, you will welcome guests, assist with check-in/out on a handheld tablet, perform safety checks, and help maintain vessels and the marina. Previous boating experience is a plus, but a positive attitude and strong service skills are

Qualifications

• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to regularly perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, balancing and carrying up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets.
• Availability to regularly work weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to adhere to all safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette.
• Manage the check-in and check-out process using a handheld tablet.
• Perform equipment checks to ensure functionality of vessels and gear.
• Clean and maintain vessels and Club location according to standards.
• Complete daily clerical tasks for reservations, logs, and weather reports.
• Familiarize yourself with local waters to provide basic guidance to members.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Work outdoors in variable weather and stand for extended periods.
