Job summary

Simon & Schuster US is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinator to support hourly recruiting and onboarding at our Jackson, Tennessee facility. The role emphasizes organized, timely candidate experience and hands-on coordination in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, communicative, and comfortable juggling multiple candidates and priorities while partnering with HR, Talent Acquisition, and operations to meet staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Experience as recruiting/HR coordinator or similar role preferred.
• Experience supporting onboarding and pre-employment processes preferred.
• Experience with high-volume hourly hiring in distribution, warehousing, logistics or similar environments is a plus.
• Strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day coordination and administrative support for hourly recruiting activities.
• Coordinate new-hire onboarding, including documentation and orientation scheduling.
• Review applications and conduct initial candidate screenings.
• Assist with sourcing via job boards, platforms, referrals, and social media.
• Schedule interviews with hiring managers and facility leadership.
• Maintain timely communication with candidates about interviews and onboarding.
• Assist with offer coordination and pre-employment activities.
• Support new-hire orientation and ensure first-day information readiness.
• Maintain candidate and new-hire data in recruiting/HR systems.
• Track candidates through process and follow up on requirements.
• Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and operations to support staffing priorities.
• Assist with hiring events and other recruiting initiatives.
• Follow established recruiting, onboarding, employment, and compliance practices.
