Job summary

Visionworks of America is seeking a Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant to be the welcoming face of our eye-care team. You’ll guide patients through the early steps of the Visionworks experience, perform basic testing, and help educate patients on products and services.

You will maintain patient records, coordinate with the OD, and ensure a smooth transition from check-in to the exam and sales floor, delivering friendly, human service.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Experience in customer or patient service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate and recommend products and services that meet eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
