Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated educator to support visually impaired learners in a contract role within a South Carolina school. You will deliver specialized instruction onsite 3-4 days a week and collaborate with teachers, families, and service providers to ensure access to education for every student.

Responsibilities include assessing student needs, designing IEPs, adapting curriculum and materials, and maintaining accurate records for progress reviews.

Qualifications

• Valid South Carolina Teacher of the Visually Impaired (VI) certification.
• Experience supporting students with visual impairments in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to adapt instructional materials to meet diverse student needs.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction to visually impaired students onsite, 3-4 days each week
• Assess students’ unique needs and design individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum, materials, and classroom environments as needed
• Support students in developing crucial skills for classroom engagement and life outside of school
• Consult regularly with teachers, families, and service providers
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings and progress reviews
