Qualifications

• Georgia PSC certification with Vision Impairment/TVI endorsement.
• Experience meeting IEP requirements for students with visual impairments.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary education teams and classroom teachers.
• Knowledge of assistive technology and accessibility strategies for learners with visual needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Commitment to supporting student progress and compliance with required services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct specialized instruction in two 30-minute sessions each month, tailored to IEP specifications.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff, ensuring accessible materials and activities.
• Advise on the integration and use of assistive technology to enhance learning.
• Provide guidance on accommodations and accessibility strategies.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and regularly communicate with the educational team.
• Ensure all services provided are in alignment with student IEPs and district requirements.
