Job summary

Schoolforce Solutions Inc is seeking a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the upcoming school year in South Carolina. You will provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments, develop IEPs and 504 Plans, teach Braille and assistive technology, adapt materials, and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student success.

This on-site role offers competitive pay with a salary range of $42.00-$51.00 per hour and requires SCDE VI

Qualifications

• Proven ability to adapt instruction for students with visual impairments.
• Experience with Braille and assistive technology is preferred.
• Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the school year.

Hourly Rate Range: $42.00-$51.00 per hour

• Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in one-on‑one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
• Teach Braille, assistive technology, orientation and mobility concepts, and adaptive skills.
• Adapt instructional materials to accessible formats (Braille, large print, audio).
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student success.
• Support use of assistive technology and visual aids.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) and IDEA regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Visual Impairments, Special Education, or related field.
• South Carolina Teaching License with Visual Impairment certification (issued by SCDE).
• Experience with Braille and assistive technology preferred.
• Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
