Job summary

Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital in Kirkwood, MO is seeking a friendly, professional veterinary receptionist for a part-time role. You will be the primary contact for clients, manage check-ins, scheduling, and payments, and help maintain EMR/PIMS records with care and accuracy.

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist.
• Experience with Cornerstone or similar practice management software.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and patient records handling.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update medical records, and confirm appointment details using practice management software
• Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system, respond to inquiries about scheduling, refills, vaccination records, and general hospital information
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-up appointments
• Communicate medical information and care instructions accurately and compassionately, including in emotionally sensitive situations
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and data entry in PIMS
• Coordinate with veterinarians, technicians, and staff to relay client communications and maintain patient flow
• Maintain reception area cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience
