Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, seeks an ultrasound professional for a temporary role with 2 days per week. The position involves performing cardiovascular ultrasound exams, coordinating with medical staff, educating patients, and ensuring safety and quality outcomes.

Certification within one year is expected, with potential sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Eligible candidates will have BLS, and be enrolled in or graduates of accredited echocardiography programs;

Qualifications

• Eligible to take the ARDMS or CCI boards in cardiac or vascular sonography within one year of hire date.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Participating in and/or graduate of accredited or certificate program
• Intermountain Adult Echocardiography Program

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and schedules exams and coordinates with medical staff, doctors, caregivers, and patients.
• Prepares for exams by identifying patients, educating patients and families, and transporting patients.
• Performs ultrasound exams with adherence to protocols, ensuring safety and high quality outcomes.
• Returns patient to room after exam and ensures stability and safety.
• Communicates patient needs and coordinates care with physicians, caregivers, patients, and families.
