Job summary

YES Prep in Houston, TX seeks a part-time Coach for 4-5 hours per week over 6-8 weeks. The role involves organizing practices, monitoring student-athlete academics, issuing uniforms, and communicating with the Athletic Director to support student success. Must have CPR/AED certification and 0-3 years coaching experience.

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Compensation is $20.00 per hour for the 26-27 academic year, with a focus on developing student-athletes and maintaining a strong, mission-driven

Qualifications

• 0-3 years coaching experience
• Strong knowledge of the sport rules and terminology
• CPR and AED certification or plan to obtain within given time frame

Responsibilities

• Organize practices and games
• Monitor academic progress of student athletes
• Issue and collect uniforms
• Provide orientation of a sound program to student athletes
• Communicate with coaches and athletic director on progression of student athletes and team
• Prioritize academics over athletics
• Be on time to all scheduled athletic events
• Train each student-athlete to be in best physical condition
• Put the team first and the individual second
• Stay with the team until the last student-athlete and guardians depart
• Collect athlete documentation to remain in compliance with policies
• Additional duties as assigned
