Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. in Florida is seeking a PT Utilization Review Coordinator to monitor treatment activities and collaborate with the treatment team and managed care organizations to ensure quality patient care, including weekend coverage.

The role includes completing concurrent reviews for mental health and dual diagnosis patients for both inpatient and outpatient services, handling appeals, and maintaining continuity of care with referring professionals.

Qualifications

• RN, LPN, or MSW with Utilization Management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and with clinical teams.
• Knowledge of regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor treatment activities and interface with treatment team and managed care organizations to ensure quality patient care.
• Complete concurrent reviews for mental health and dual diagnosis patients for both inpatient and outpatient services.
• Complete appeals and follow up on all appeals until a final decision.
• Communicate effectively with treatment team members, physicians, and coworkers across the hospital.
