Job summary

Palm Point Behavioral Health in Titusville, FL, affiliated with Universal Health Services, is hiring a Part Time Utilization Review (UR) Coordinator. You will monitor documentation and coordinate utilization of services for inpatients and outpatients, and handle third-party payor authorizations.

Responsibilities include reviewing admission appropriateness, continued stay, and discharge planning, attending treatment team meetings, and communicating findings to the care team to ensure high-quality

Qualifications

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in social work, mental health or related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in health care case management or utilization review, psychiatric or mental health setting preferred.
Certification: Current, Valid State License (RN, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT) preferred.

Responsibilities

Review clinical content of medical records and communicate data to insurance companies for precertification and authorization.
Enter pre-certifications and stay reviews into Midas and MS4 systems; follow up on outstanding items.
Attend treatment team meetings and coordinate with the team to ensure timely documentation and communication.
Assist in appeals and retrospective reviews for patients as needed.
