Job summary

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), is seeking an Utilization Review Coordinator in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on admission and concurrent review to ensure quality patient care at cost-effective levels.

Responsibilities include psychosocial assessments, case finding, family education, and coordination with treatment teams and community agencies. A Florida license and 3–5 years in chart review are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or other related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• 3–5 years of chart analysis and utilization review experience in psychiatric/chemical dependency fields is preferred.
• Valid Florida license (RN, LCSW, LMHC or LMFT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Psychosocial assessment of newly admitted patients.
• Developing an update or detailed re-assessment of the patient.
• High-social risk case finding.
• Contact with family and others significant in the patient’s life.
• Patient and family education.
• Support and advocacy for patients and families.
• Coordination with community-based social and mental health agencies regarding pre-admission status.
• Participation as a treatment team member in development of treatment planning and interventions.
