Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a PT Utilization Review Coordinator in Florida who will monitor patient treatment activities, coordinate with the treatment team and managed care, and handle concurrent reviews for mental health and dual diagnosis patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The position requires RN/LPN or MSW with utilization management experience, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently. Weekend coverage is included.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse, LPN or MSW with Utilization Management experience.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Able to work independently with clinical disciplines and understand regulatory/reimbursement requirements.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor treatment activities and interface with treatment teams and managed care to ensure quality patient care.
• Complete concurrent reviews for mental health and dual diagnosis patients for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Complete appeals and follow up until a final decision is reached.
• Maintain effective communication with physicians, treatment team members and coworkers.
