Job summary

Saint Mary's Medical Group in Reno, NV seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care in a busy clinic. You will perform clerical and environmental tasks and help organize patient flow.

The role requires scheduling, chart management, and clear patient communication to ensure access to clinic services. Fluency in English and BLS within 30 days of hire are preferred; Medical Assistant training is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Six months exp in urgent/primary care or direct patient care preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion in an accredited Medical Assistant Training program and/or EMT license preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• Must have BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Office Laboratory Assistant License from the State of Nevada is required within 90 days of hire outside of the Cardiology Practices.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks.
• Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management.
• Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.
• Conveys a positive image of organization.
