Job summary

Saint Mary's Medical Group in Reno, NV is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient care and administrative duties. Responsibilities include scheduling, chart management, patient information provision, and maintaining a positive clinic image.

Qualifications

• At least six months of direct patient care experience in urgent care or primary care settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and/or EMT license preferred.
• Fluency in English is required.
• BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Office Laboratory Assistant license from Nevada required within 90 days of hire (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide information to patients so they may fully utilize clinic services.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• A minimum of six months experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care physician practice setting and/or direct patient care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion in an accredited Medical Assistant Training program and/or equivalent experience or EMT license preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• Must have BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Office Laboratory Assistant License from the State of Nevada is required within 90 days of hire outside of the Cardiology Practices.
