Job summary

Saint Mary's Medical Group in Reno, NV is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and the clinic team. You will assist with patient care, perform clerical and environmental tasks, and help patients understand and use clinic services.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of a Medical Assistant program or EMT license, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Fluency in English is required for effective patient interaction.

Qualifications

• Six months+ experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care, or direct patient care preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Training program and/or EMT license preferred.
• Fluency in English required.
• BLS (AHA) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Office Laboratory Assistant License from Nevada required within 90 days of hire outside Cardiology Practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks.
• Schedule appointments and manage charts.
• Provide information to patients to help them use clinic services.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• A minimum of six months experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care physician practice setting and/or direct patient care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion in an accredited Medical Assistant Training program and/or equivalent experience or EMT license preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• Must have BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Office Laboratory Assistant License from the State of Nevada is required within 90 days of hire outside of the Cardiology Practices.
