Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; equivalent management experience considered.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain TWIC.
• Current CPR certification.
• Working knowledge of terminal operations, cargo stowage, and union dispatch rules.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Familiarity with computerized terminal operating systems.
• Knowledge of safety and accident-prevention codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates hiring, assignment, and evaluation of labor personnel.
• Directs work of foremen and staff based on operational needs.
• Ensures compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
• Investigates incidents and safety violations with reporting.
• Plans workforce and equipment deployment to meet vessel turnaround.
• Maintains safety and regulatory documentation.
