Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Wilmington, NC to safeguard clients across campus environments. This part-time role requires patrolling campus facilities, maintaining a visible presence, and driving to assigned locations while delivering excellent customer service and following campus protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, assisting with visitor directions, event support, and access-control procedures as assigned.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to campus representatives and Allied Universal supervision.
