Job summary

Allied Universal in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to patrol and protect client sites with a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, observe and report unusual activity, assist visitors and staff, and provide excellent customer service.

This role offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and opportunities to learn new shifts through our Claim a Shift platform. A high school diploma or equivalent, background check, and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, residents, families, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including providing assistance and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate daily activity logs, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
