Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in Canyon, TX. The role offers flexible hours with fixed shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $14.44 per hour with weekly pay and a schedule that includes DayTime shifts. This position supports access-control, emergency response, and visitor services at a cultural institution, with growth and training opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity for unusual conditions, prohibited items, and potential facility concerns; report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly, welcoming environment by providing directions, supporting visitor flow, and documenting security-related incidents and daily activities.
