Job summary

All Allied Universal® is hiring an Armed Security Officer in Amarillo, TX. The role covers armed patrols, access control, CCTV and alarm monitoring, and incident reporting to protect people and property, while delivering professional customer service.

Requires 1+ year armed security or military experience and a valid armed guard license. Position is full-time with benefits and a pay rate of $27.03 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current driver’s license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Basic Life Support CPR/AED and First Aid from the AHA or ARC; Federal and state firearms qualifications; National Weapons Detection Training Program (NWDTP); OC, Baton and handcuffing certification; Defensive tactics and de-escalation tactics certification
• Minimum of two (2) years of armed security experience or US military service or minimum of one year of armed civilian law enforcement experience
• Minimum age of 21
• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and communicate with the public
• Excellent written and spoken English; strong problem solving and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property
• Build, improve and maintain relationships with client employees and guests
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing
• Handle security issues and emergencies according to protocol
• Follow site-specific operations including manuals and post orders
• Greet visitors and employees; answer questions and assist as needed
• Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle
• Monitor phones, CCTV systems and alarms
